i told you everything sounds better in acoustic!
wow i cant believe how our nk bathing suits is all over! i see it everywhere i go now! The red halter bathing suit that Teri is wearing and also the white bill mio that Evie is wearing is ours! I just havent noticed before but we seem to be popping up everywhere!Anyway its so great to see our stuff out there. So last tuesday we had a photoshoot in our studio on the 5th floor (i work on the 4th/3rd) and we had model castings the week before - which i missed BOTH events since I wasnt working that day! dissappointing I know! I wouldve be running around buying hairspray anyway if i were in that day. lolOther than that its been hectic in the office - just lots of returns for me from various magazines and when they return the sample some stylists return our samples a complete mess! AH the stress i have to go through. But its truly rewarding to see our stuff in the final shoot and it looks amazing!In the meantime in between my interning I found myself a part-time retail job at EXPRESS (http://www.expressfashion.com/). I only got to day 2 of training when i got a call home about grandma and had to rush back into Toronto by Saturday morning. I had to pack up all my bags and say goodbye to the big city which i fell in love with in a matter of a day!This summer has been absolutely incredible. The fashion industry is just amazing and i wish i got to see much more of it. The city..i got settled in so quick! The things to see, the people to meet - all so amazing. Great people in New York - i dont care what people say about Americans but i met the nicest people there. I miss just waking up in the morning and getting to take the train across the brooklyn bridge every day and seeing the entire city from the bridge, i miss hearing about the celebrity sightings downstairs in our store during the day - eric clapton just walked in my second last day of work haha. And i bumped into Paula Abdul at starbucks before work one morning. And my supervisor sat beside Russell Simmons at dinner one night in the village..New York has restaurant week which is similar to summerlicious in t.o and i got to go to one of bobby flay's retaurants in ny called BOLO. i am a huge fan of bobby and the cuisine was amazing! chilled gazpacho, seared scallops, yummy stuf.. and not to mention the nightlife - its HUGE. Huger than all of canada combined.I miss just the incredible hospitality i was shown and thats one thing i'll never forget about that place!And before i end off God does answer prayers becuase it was an absolute MIRACLE that i flew back into Toronto in time for the funeral service. MIRACLE. but ihad faith that it was all going to pull through. I ran into absolutely every single problem at the airport (by myself at 4 in the morning ..without a CELLPHONE) and it still all worked out in the end. Faith of a mustard seed can indeed do so much.Anyway i love my grandma and miss her dearly and I know she's in a happier place. She'll forever have a place in my heart and I know we'll meet again. Love you grandma.Gosh one more month in toronto and then into my SENIOR YEAR! wooooooow.Ok im not planing to touch my blog til September or until something eventful happens so i wrote this long one to make up for it!
